7) Car Audio System
8) Light Equipment
9) Emergency Lighting Equipment
10) Fire Alarm & Security Systems
11) Electric Equipment & Telemeter Equipment
12) Toys & Consumer Electronics

Q3: What is the Installation of the battery?

A3:
The default of the new factory battery is [ sleep state ],the first 3 times need to be fully charged, discharged and then fully charged, and then discharged... to fully activate the battery capacity.

Before installation and use, please check the relevant waterproof, shockproof, short circuit prevention, puncture prevention, heat prevention, and prevent the plug and socket from touching the bad ignition and damage the battery.
Lithium batteries are used in parallel: Because the battery is not fully charged before it leaves the factory, please fully charge the battery before parallel installation, and test the voltage of each battery.
It is recommended to keep the voltage difference of each battery within 30mv in order to extend the battery life.
Lithium batteries are used in series: the lithium battery maximum series is4*12V=48V,for the sake of balance.
Before the series, batteries need to be charged firstly, and place the 4 groups of batteries in parallel for more than 12H.

Charging: Please keep the battery pack 30%-60% of the power storage , and charge the battery once every 3 months.
Please select the LiFePO4 charger with a rated voltage of 14.6V according to the parameters specified on the battery nameplate to charge the battery.

Before use:
If you find that there is battery deformation or damage, smelly, smoke or abnormal heat, swelling, water ingress and other abnormal conditions, please do not use, contact the dealer in time to deal with it.

Q4: Does it support the over-current / short-circuit protection?

A4:Yes!

If the over current / short circuit protection is tripped, the BS will shut the battery down and remain disconnected until you remove the battery cables.

While the battery cables are disconnected, we suggest to the battery voltage with the use of a voltmeter. lf it reads above 10.8V reconnect the battery cables.

If you are unsuccessful at obtaining a voltage reading above 10.8V, please contact our technical support team: service@wattcycle.com.

Q5: Does it support communication capability?

A5:
No!
We cannot support the communication capability currently.

Q6: What preparations, tools, and precautions are necessary for installation?

A6:
1. Installation Environment:
The battery should be installed in a clean, cool, and dry location, away from water, oil, and dirt.

2. Equipment or Tools:
1) Proper insulation protection equipment
2) Multimeter, battery cables
3) Battery charger/charge controller

3. Recommendations:
1) Same brand (Due to different BMS settings, do not connect lithium batteries of other brands)
2) Same battery type (LiFePO4) (Do not connect batteries of other types, such as lithium-ion, lead-acid, or other batteries)
3) Same voltage (recommended for fully charged batteries) (12.8V)
4) Same capacity (50Ah)
5) The purchase cycle of the two batteries should not exceed three months.

4. Before Installation:
1) Check for visible damage to the battery, including cracks, dents, deformation, and other visible abnormalities.
2) Ensure that the top of the battery and the terminal connections are clean, free of dirt and corrosion, and dry. If any issues are detected with the battery, please contact us for assistance.
3) Do not short-circuit the battery terminals, as doing so may cause a current surge and result in irreversible damage to the system and battery.
4) Before connecting, confirm the polarity to avoid damaging the battery due to polarity reversal.
5) Use a circuit breaker, fuse, or an appropriate-sized circuit breaker designated by a qualified electrician, licensed installer, or regulatory authority to protect all electrical equipment.

5. Installation Steps:
Step 1: Fully charge the batteries separately.
Step 2: Test the voltage after 15 minutes of standing, which should be greater than 13V.
Step 3: Connect your batteries in series and/or parallel.

Q7: How long does it take to fully charge?

A7:
Charging Tips:
1) Use a 14.6V LiFePO4 battery charger.
2) Recommended charging voltage: 14.4 ~ 14.8V
3) Recommended charging current:
20A - The battery will be fully charged to 100% capacity in approximately 10 hours.
50A - The battery will be fully charged to 100% capacity in approximately 4 hours.

Q8: How should batteries be stored?

A8:
We recommend charging the WattCycle Energy battery to 50%. Then, disconnect the battery from the load by removing the negative wire from one battery.
Overall, the battery's capacity loss is less than 3.5% per month at 77°F. However, if stored in extreme environmental conditions, the capacity loss may increase.

Q9: Can I use it as a starting battery?

A9:
No. it can not be used as starting batteries but energy storage, please do not use them to start any devices.

Q10: What is the life span of it?

A10:
It can be used for 5,000-15,000 life cycles.
Depending on usage, it can be used 10 years or more.
Lead acid and AGM get roughly 300-500 life cycles before their capacity is reduced substantially.
Therefore, even though there is more upfront cost with a WattCycle LiFePO4 Battery, the upgraded saves you big in a long run.

Q11: How do I know what size of LiFePO4 battery I need?

A11:
The size of the LiFePO4 lithium battery you need depends on several factors such as the application, power requirements, space constraints, and desired capacity.
To determine the appropriate size, consider factors such as voltage, capacity (Ah), physical dimensions, and any specific requirements for your application.
If you need assistance in determining the right size, feel free to contact our technical team for personalized guidance. (service@wattcycle.com)
